  1. Leeches are a Parasite in a Koi Pond by Sarah Nabila

    Another parasite sometimes found in the koi ponds in the leech. Leeches can grow to about 5cm, with a sucker at each end of the body. The suckers allow the leech to move around the body of the fish, and once it has found a suitable place, it attaches itself by the mouth end sucker, pierces the skin and feeds on blood.

Backyard ponds?

how do I keep birds from coming in and eatng all of the koi? I have covered it with a net but now can not see the new fish I have.One poor fish was too big for the bird to eat so he left it out the sidewalk to die.

Is there a battery powered filter for ponds.?

I want to buy a 50-60 gallon pond for my red eared slider turtles to live in but there isn't any outlet near wear im going to put it. but if there is no such thing as a battery powered filter can i just not put a filter at all?

. right now i'm only working for friends family… etc. but i would like to get out there and create ponds for other houses. the only problem is…………

Is liner really needed for a swimming pond? Or can I just fill it with water? If not what are some in expensive liners?
